IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

So, here's what has been happening our way. We hope you had a nice Easter weekend. We drove into West Linn and had dinner with Lara and her girls. She fixed a nice beef dinner (no ham) with deviled eggs and I added my much requested macaroni salad. We came home later that day, me driving our car and Dave driving Jadyn's van. She was coming down a couple of days later to work on it to make it into a camper van and of course she wanted G-dad to help her. So, her van is shoehorned into a space in the church so they can work on it.

Jadyn arrived here on Tuesday, ready to go to work on her van with her grandfather. They took out the back seats and torn out the old carpeting. After that, they installed some insulation and put down plywood for a new floor. Jadyn is going to look for some vinyl flooring this week and will be returning next week to continue the project. It was fun having her down for a few days but I didn't see a lot of her because she spent most of her time working on her van.

Meanwhile, Dave has been busy with some of his projects. He built a card table for the cave which hinges up on the wall when not in use. Leslie had sent him a picture of a wood pusher for his table saw so he made that. It really turned out cute! I washed all of his radio station coffee cup collection (two dishwasher loads) and he is in the process of hanging them up in his cave.

We found out that Dave's sister, Leanna passed away on Monday. She was in hospice for a short time and it was a real surprise that she went so fast. She hasn't been in good health for many years and was living in a care facility. We know she is in a better place but she will be missed.

We finally got our new mattress for our king-size bed, so we have moved back upstairs to our bedroom. We had been sleeping down in the guest room while waiting for the arrival. The delivery guys showed up Thursday afternoon, so we had plenty of time to get everything made up before bedtime. It was nice to get a good night's sleep in a bed with plenty of rollover room!

When will this crazy weather stop!? Since it is April, we have had days with sun and other days with rain. But when it rained, it poured! We are getting a lot of storms coming through here and I wish spring would get here so I can start planting some flowers and vegetables. I bought a few things and they are all surviving in my tiny greenhouse. Rain, rain, go away.
