IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!

It's week two since my knee surgery and I already feel the difference. Most of the week I have been sitting in my recliner, watching it rain, doing my physical therapy and sleeping a lot. It has been so nice having my daughters be here to help out. Leslie arrived on day three after I got out of the hospital and then Lara came on Friday and stayed until last Wednesday. It is such a blessing to have such wonderful and thoughtful daughters.

Dave had a VA appointment on Monday and Tuesday and so we coordinated with our neighbor Jim King who offered to drive him to his appointments in Portland. Dave had a bone scan and CT scan and the doctor also took x-rays to check out his lungs as he has a terrible cough and cold. He doesn't have pneumonia or bronchitis and his COVID test came back negative. Just allergies, which are making him cough so hard I think he is going to hack up one of his lungs!

I had to cancel my first Physical Therapy appointment because of flooding between here and the clinic. I couldn't get to the building and I missed the boat! So, I went back home and let them know. I showed up for my next PT appointment on Wednesday and the therapist put me through the torturous routine. I felt like I had been run over by a truck! Only seven more of those.

Now that all the help has left, Dave and I are on our own. We are making do and are fine. I am sorry this journal so short and is all about me but that is about all that has been happening.

Take care and stay safe!
