IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!
It's been another busy week.
Last Friday, we attended a graveside service for my sister Judy. Her family all came and my other sister, Jeanne and her husband Bob came from Colorado and he gave the eulogy and presided over the service. She was buried in Hillsboro at the Fir Lawn Memorial Gardens (along with most of my other relatives). After the service, we all had lunch at Applebee's which was Judy's favorite place to eat. We took few pictures at the funeral but it was raining most of the time. I did find a nice picture of my sisters and I that was taken a couple of years ago.
After the service, Bob and Jeanne came down and stayed with us for a few days. It was so nice to be able to visit with them and we enjoyed having them. After they left on Monday, we got back to our usual routines.
I had made an appointment to have the Jeep serviced in Warrenton at 11:20 on Tuesday, (I thought) but instead, the appointment was at 1:00. We didn't want to wait that long, so we cancelled and rescheduled it for next week. It just frustrates me that I got the time mixed up on the appointment. It wasn't a wasted trip up to Warrenton as we had to run a few errands (including Home Depot, of course) while we were in the neighborhood. But then, as it turned out, Home Depot contacted us the next morning and said the door we had ordered for the apartment was ready to be picked up. Agh! Why didn't they do that a day earlier when we were at the store?? So, we will make a special trip today to pick it up. Today is a busy day for us. We were going to have water aerobics at the Nehalem Pool first thing in the morning but they called us last night and said that the pump is out at the pool again. Oh, I hope we can get that new pool built soon! So now we start our day by getting our second Covid vaccine shot in Tillamook later in the morning. After that, we have to backtrack and go back to the house and trade vehicles so we can take the trailer to Warrenton to Home Depot to pick up that big door. Not quite as busy as it was going to be, yet we are going to put a few miles on the cars.
We have had some nice days this week. I was able to get out and plant my snow peas and pull a few weeds in the yard. I also had a work party at Waterfront Park and worked there for an hour. Those weeds seem to grow twice as big as those in my yard!
Oh, another thing. We were driving to Warrenton and Dave stopped to take this picture. I guess they couldn't decide whether they were "Open" or "Closed"! You just never know when the governor is going to change the rules on you, so you might was well be prepared!
Well, don't forget that Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday for most of us, so move those clocks forward. I still wish we could just have it the same year around.
