IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

It's been another one of those weeks. My sister, Jeanne came up to see our sister Judy who has Alzheimer's and is in hospice. I met her at Judy's care center and we visited while caring for Judy. It is rather sad to see my sister slowly fading. I don't think she even remembers me. I just hope and pray that this isn't something that I have to look forward to. Jeanne stayed the whole week just watching over Judy. I, of course had to be back home before dark as it is hard for me to drive at night.

We haven't had much activity on the apartment this week. The crew has been working elsewhere so there isn't much new to report. While they were here last week they got the kitchen floor done and the hallway framed in and sheet rocked. The painter painted as much as he could, but ran out of paint. The plumbing inspector was supposed to show up for the final inspection on Wednesday but he never showed. So Dave had to make another appointment for next week. We are ordering a new door for the entry with side windows. That's the old door on the left and a photo of the new door on the right. I have been cleaning the apartment, vacuuming, dusting and general cleaning. Workers can be so messy and never clean up after themselves!

The rain finally let up for a few days and it was nice to see the sun. I hope to get outside and do some cleaning up in the garden. I also need to get the Community Garden plot in order as I wasn't up to it last fall with the bursitis in my hip. I also signed up for another term on the Wheeler Park and Rec. Committee. We have some new volunteers so that will help take the load off us "seniors". I am really looking forward to spring.

That's the news our way. Anyone get their Corona shot yet? We are still waiting.
