IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Hi there! I am keeping my distance and will send all of you virtual ((Hugs)). Isn't this crazy? I wonder if they have this pandemic in Siberia, maybe I will take a vacation there.

We had to tell Luis and his crew not to come to our place to work. Not that they are any more at risk for Coronavirus than any of the rest of us - it's just that we're taking this very seriously and have decided to "quarantine" ourselves at home. Telling Luis not to come was a difficult decision; his crew had no other work this past week and so they were going to spend the entire week working on a number of projects for us. Hopefully, we can get them back once this virus passes.

Collage Because we were pretty much confined to the house, we decided to go up into the attic and drag out some games we could play while we are sheltering in place. Dave found a really "old" Bingo game, complete with a turning machine to give you the next number. We figured the game was at least 50 years old! I dug out a set of cards and played a few games of solitaire. I also found some books on the bookshelf, so picked up "Roots" and am reading that. Quite a change for me, as I have been reading books on my Kindle for the past couple of years. I keep "tapping" on the right edge of the page, expecting it to turn! I have also been making "homemade" hand sanitizer with 190 proof grain alcohol and Aloe Vera gel. I like it better than the commercial stuff because it doesn't dry out my hands so much.

Lara Lara came down last Saturday for the day and helped us around the house. She was helping her Dad wash old windows that we had stored when we redid the church. We had taken some of the windows out as the glass had been broken by vandals. Anyway, our plan is to add another window to the second floor to have more light and a better view. Dave is going to insulate the front of the church so the grandgirls can make a "She Shack" like Dave's Man Cave in the back.

Chip We received some very sad news this week. Leslie and Jay's black Lab had to be put down. He was old but still getting around, but he had developed a tumor which ruptured his spleen and he was in terrific pain. It is so hard to have to see an animal you love in such pain but they did what they had to do. Chip was a wonderful pet and will be missed by everyone.

Collage I have been busy planting seeds. I have pumpkins, cucumbers, tomatoes and sweet peas. The pumpkins and cucumbers have sprouted and are doing great and I am hoping the rest of the seeds will follow suit. My spring flowers are blooming and I am enjoying their splendor.

Jan, Shelves As I said, we are sheltering in place but we are still getting a lot of things done around here. We cleaned out part of the boat barn the other day. Dave had extended the shelves so we can have more surface to put things in order. The paint cans are on one shelf, the auto supplies are shelved together, etc. Now maybe we will be able to find an "old" something without having to go out and buy a "new" something.

Well, that's all we have been doing. I know we are all looking forward to the end of this virus and the day when we can all get back to normal. We are well and hope you are staying healthy as well.
