IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Well, actually I am writing this earlier than Friday, as we will be in Phoenix on Friday and I didn't think I would have time then.

The week has been moving along. Last weekend the roofers showed up and finished roofing the other side of the old church building. It should be waterproof now. We can mark that off our list of things to complete. While they were here, we talked the contractor into setting our street address sign back up again. It blew over in the wind last week so he set it in cement this time. It looks good. I'll get a picture next week after we get all the support braces removed.

The weather has been a wee bit chilly and has made me stay indoors most of the time and with my Vertigo still making me slow down, I feel like I am not getting much accomplished. Finally, the weather and the Vertigo just couldn't keep me inside any longer, so I took the opportunity on Tuesday to rake up the remaining leaves in the yard and wash my dirty windows.

Dave has been busy working on his flatbed trailer. He got the new deck on this week so all he has left to do is put up the side boards. With it's new decking and new paint job, it almost looks like a new trailer! He'll finish it when we get back from our trip next week.

Paige

Our oldest granddaughter, Ashtin took the SAT's last weekend. I am anxious to see how she did. She has a 3.5 GPA and has already been accepted at Western Oregon University this fall. She took the test to see if she could get a scholarship. We got a picture of our granddaughter, Paige, all dressed up for the winter dance. I wish I could have been there to see my other granddaughter, Jaysa score a basket the other day. She is not only taking gymnastics but also plays basketball too. These girls are all growing up way too fast!

As I mentioned, we are in Phoenix for the week, returning next Tuesday. We will spend this Wednesday night at Lara's as we have a 5:50 a.m. flight on Thursday. I packed my swimming suit and am looking forward to sunny weather. We will be getting back just in time for our granddaughter, Jordyn's 9th birthday, so it looks like we will be celebrating at Red Robin.

Sorry these last few journals have been so short. We should have more to talk about as well as a few pictures from Arizona next week. See you then!
