IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

I have been going through my mind of what happened this week, and it looks like nothing out of the ordinary. We got our first good rain shower this week and wouldn't you know it, it started on Wednesday morning and I had to cancel our work party at the park. I hate when that happens but we do need the rain. I have been watering the plants up at the post office this month and I got relieved of doing that because of the rain too.

Since we have had such good weather the past few weeks, Lara and her family are planning on coming down for a visit and now it looks like it will be raining for their stay. The girls have a three-day weekend coming up from school and everyone was so looking forward to spending a nice day on the beach. Well, there is always the indoor pool, the Tillamook Cheese Factory and Seaside to keep them entertained. It will be nice to have them down just the same.

Dave has completed his third week of radiation and is now halfway through that treatment. He has been driving back and forth between Wheeler and Beaverton each day. He is showing more signs of fatigue this week so he hasn't been doing too much more than just driving. He did manage to get the rebuild of Leanna's trailer completed.

We had the "bug" guy show up on Tuesday morning. He discovered that we have not only boring beetles but carpenter ants and maybe termites! So he will start spraying this next week to get rid of those pests. We also discovered that the front window sills on our house have all rotted away so that is another project. Leanna needs to get the floor replaced in her utility room because of dry rot so between the two projects, we have a contractor coming in next week too. There is always something!

We did find out that our oldest granddaughter, Ashtin who injured her Anterior Cruciate Ligament while playing soccer will not have to have surgery. The doctor doesn't think the injury is serious enough to justify surgery and so he is going to do some physical therapy. If that works, it means she will be back on the playing field before the season ends. She is all excited about that possibility, although they have several obstacles to overcome before she is cleared to play. Still, we're so glad to hear that surgery is no longer being considered.

As I mentioned earlier, there hasn't been a lot of excitement around these parts this week, so this will be a short journal this time.
