IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Saturday, we headed back to the Coast for an overnight stay and a dinner with our good friends, Des and Donna Kahrs that night. They had two other guests invited; a couple of tenants that rent from them, Denise and Mona. They were interesting people and we enjoyed their company. The dinner theme was Indian Cuisine and it was very good.

Sunday, I woke up not feeling very well, I think I picked up a bug while at work last week. But we packed up a few weeks' worth of clothes and headed back into Portland anyway. The plan was that I would be back to work on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then we head down to Leslie and Jay's to baby sit while they fly to Las Vegas.

As it turns out, I didn't work on Monday, I just wasn't feeling that good. But I worked on Tuesday and Wednesday and then after the game on Wednesday, we drove down to Salem. It was after 11 when we got there. Leslie and Jason were waiting up for us to go over some last minute instructions as they were leaving at 5:30 the next morning. Jason was nervous as heck about flying. He hates flying. The next morning, after their parents left, we settled the girls back down and got them ready for school and day care. I don't see how Leslie does it. Getting two kids ready for school, plus herself ready for work really takes a lot of organization. I guess you have to be younger than I am!

So now we're a day into watching the grandkids and so far, so good. We managed to get everyone to the right place and on time and that was a major accomplishment! After coming back home from our "deliveries", I took a nap!

This weekend will be just more spoiling our grandchildren and then handing them back on Monday when Leslie and Jay come back!!

I am taking next week off from my temp job. We're going to visit some old friends that we haven't seen in years, and then we'll take in four plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival at the other end of the state. We made those plans before I accepted this temp job. I was hoping that I would be done with the job by now, but it looks like at least another week's worth of work left. So I go back to work on the 21st of March. Maybe, just maybe, I will be back down to the coast soon.
