IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Fall has arrived and the days are getting shorter. This is one of my favorite times of year with the change of color and milder days. I have been working out in the yard trying to get things tucked in for the colder days ahead.

We had Leslie and Jason come for a visit last weekend. Now that they are empty nesters, one daughter married and the other at Gonzaga, they now don't know what to do with themselves. They wanted to come down just to unwind for the weekend and just relax. We had quite a thunder and lightning show while they were here. The dogs were not too impressed however. Jason brought some of his fish that he caught and made a wonderful halibut supper for us. He is such a great cook.

Also this week, we had George and Margie Blackman visit with us. They live in Redmond and they like to come over to the coast. Jason brought his boat up and we all are going salmon fishing on the Columbia. They really don't have to go all the way up to the Columbia to fish as we have been watching fisherman right out front in the bay catch some nice ones.

We started water aerobics classes again. After having a two-week break it was good to get back in the pool again. The pool was a little chilly at first but once we started moving around, we warmed up. The classes are still small but that's okay because it gives us more room. I remember before Covid, sometimes we would have 25 or 30 people in the class. Our old instructor was back from having appendicitis so it was good to see her back. We got a call late yesterday that the ancient boiler that heats the pool quit again, so we're not going to miss anything by going fishing today, the pool isn't open anyway!

Dave has been feeling sore all over from the infusions for his cancer treatment but the doctor put him on steroids and that seemed to help. Because he now has to taper down from the steroids, he won't go back for a treatment for another week. He only has to have a total of four so he is almost done. I am hoping that all this suffering will work and his PSA level will go down.

Well, that's all our news for this week. Take care.
