IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

I have been enjoying this week with all the nice weather we have been having.

Lara, Leslie, Jan Sterling We had Leslie and Jason here and Lara also came down this weekend, so it was nice having the family all here (except the granddaughters didn't make it). But we had the Sterling, the Silver Lab here and he always keeps us amused. He wears us out throwing the ball to him. He's pretty good about bringing it back to us but that game can go on for HOURS!! I bought him some new "pet" balls but he had completely destroyed them within a few minutes! We went over to the pet store and picked him up a "harder" ball, one he can't chew up in minutes. He also got part of an Elk horn to chew on, so he was happy.

Jan Jan I was able to get my vegetable garden planted up at the Community Garden, with the help of my daughter, Leslie. We cleaned the bed up and then planted two tomato plants, bush beans, beets, cucumbers and pumpkins. There are a lot of weeds growing along the fence and I will tackle them as soon as I can.

Les, Jay Jason and Leslie left on Sunday but returned on Tuesday. Jason wanted to help Dave with some of the wiring in the church's living quarters. Leslie helped them too, she built a stud wall for the wiring. Things are coming along on the living quarters. The bathroom is all framed in and we have most of the sheetrock installed. Now we have to get a homeowner's plumbing permit so we can get an inspection and get the walls covered. We enjoyed having Leslie and Jason visit us this week, they were a big help.

Launch It was a great day for Dave as with the help of Jason, Luis and Rigo, they launched the Captain Bell. It has been seven years since she has been in the water and it was great to hear the whistle blow. They docked her at Kahrs' dock and will stay there until Dave can do some more fine-tuning on her. The parade at Manazanta has been canceled this year because of CoVid19, so we won't be in that. This will be the second time since we moved down here that we haven't been in the parade. The first was because the boiler wasn't behaving and now because there will be on parade.

Well, that's all our news.
