IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Not much happening this week. We have had a couple of days of nice weather which gave me a chance to rake more leaves up in the yard after a big windstorm.

We made a couple of runs into the valley. Tuesday, Dave had a doctor's appointment for an EKG for a check-up and on Wednesday I had a dentist appointment to get my teeth cleaned. A lot of miles going back and forth.

I came down with a bad cough this week. It's been going around, so it was bound to catch up with me. The cough turned into laryngitis, so I have been drinking hot water mixed with vinegar and honey. It seems to smooth my throat. I went to the doctor on Thursday as I had an appointment to get Cortisone shot in my knees. Since the weather has turned cold, they have been stiff and sore from arthritis. It sure is tuff getting old with all of these aches and pains.

Collage Dave has also been busy sanding and painting the top floor of the church. It is so unlevel that a few years ago he patch-worked pieces of plywood to make it stronger and more level. Now that he has the skybridge up to that level he decided he had to make it a bit more presentable, so he has been patching the jigsaw cracks in the floor and then sanding the whole thing before painting. The white primer coat is down and he will put the finish coat of light brown paint on it this weekend. It has turned into a big job and lots of hard work.

Dave also has been attending meetings this week. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the Nehalem Valley Historical Society on Wednesday. He also had a City Council meeting this week and between that, sanding and painting in addition to rehearsing for the upcoming play he's in, he has been busy. The play depicts a radio broadcast of "It's a Wonderful Life". Yes, they did do that one last year but it was so well received that they decided to make it an annual performance.

We don't have much in the way of pictures to show you this week - unless you want to watch paint dry. Still, that is better than nothing, right? We are looking forward to going into West Salem to be with our family for Thanksgiving. We should have some pictures from that trip. We hope you have a nice Thanksgiving.
