IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Well, here I am again, looking at what I did last week. Hum, let's see. Where to begin? We started out on Friday afternoon and headed into town with the Adirondack chairs in tow. Dave had made them for the girls for Christmas and we finally got them delivered while the weather was nice. The girls each got two of them and they were so delighted. We went in on Friday, as our granddaughter Jadyn was performing during half time at her high school basketball game. With the West Linn team up by 20 points, we left after her performance.

The next morning we headed over to West Salem to finish our delivery of the Adirondack chairs and Dave was helping Jason install the fold away ironing board that Jason and he had made for Leslie for Christmas. She was excited to have that in place as now she doesn't have to drag her ironing board out in the middle of the family room to do her ironing. While the guys were installing the ironing board, Leslie, Paige and I drove over to the Woodburn Outlet Mall so I could get my semi-annual earring check-up. Before, I had to go all the way into Clackamas Town Center to have this done but the Jewelry store had another location which was more convenient for me. We shopped around for awhile and then headed back to Salem. That night we were taken to a German Restaurant for some Wiener Schnitzel and bratwurst. We headed for home on Sunday.

This week I decided to start organizing our taxes. April 15th will be here before you know it! Fortunately, I keep a computer file on all prescriptions, out-of pocket medical expenses and medical miles so it isn't too time consuming.

PUD

The other afternoon, I heard a truck pull up and it was the PUD checking our electrical wires that run from the pole to the house. The wires were a little droopy and they wanted them tighter with all the wind storms that we have. Anyway, the PUD guy started up his truck after he was done and the transmission line broke and he had transmission fluid all over our gravel parking area. They had to call for a maintenance crew to dig out the contaminated gravel and spread some new gravel. By the time they waited for the gravel truck to arrive it was dark but they got it done. They didn't want to leave it as there was a rain/wind storm expected later that night. We now have new gravel on our driveway, thanks to PUD.

Dave and I have been diligent about going to water aerobics classes each day. On Monday, there was a huge crowd (30) and half of them were men. I can remember way back when I first started it was all women. Anyway, experience has told me that all these new people who made resolutions won't last past January and then we will have our usual bunch in the pool.

We are headed back into town on Friday again. Our granddaughter, Jaysa is having a gymnastics meet on Saturday in Salem and it starts at 9:00 a.m. So instead of waking up at the crack of dawn to drive in there, we are spending Friday night in Salem at Leslie and Jason's and going to the meet from there. Jaysa is doing really good in her gymnastics and always likes us to come and see her. Maybe we will have a few pictures.

Dave has been promoted to an Apple X. This is his first iPhone after having Androids all along, so - with a big help from our son-in-law Jason - he is getting an "Apple education" and getting familiar with it. He seems to like it pretty well.

I can't think of anything else going on around here. It has been pretty stormy out so I am staying close to home.
