IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Luis

Luis

It's been work, work, work around here. We are trying to get Leanna's place ready to put on the market and there is so much to do. Leslie came down on Sunday and we spent two days painting the inside of the place. We were almost done when we ran out of paint! So I will finish up the one bedroom and bathroom when I can get into town to get more paint this weekend. It makes me mad that in two days of working together with Leslie, we didn't get a single picture! We had our painter friend Luis Santiago and his crew down also and they were pressure washing the whole outside of the house including the roof before they put on a couple of coats of paint on the outside. The cleaning on the inside is almost done, the blinds cleaned, the windows washed and the floor moldings cleaned. The carpet people should be coming next week. I am just tried writing about all the stuff we did. Our goal is to have the place ready to sell by Memorial Day, and right now, it looks like we're going to make it!

Pruitt Boys

Luis

Dean and Brenda were down from Seattle and they took more stuff to the dump and recycle center. They have been a big help in getting his mother's house cleaned and ready for sale. Two of their two boys, Riley and Miles took the monster weed whacker to the bamboo that was growing in the back yard and we had Luis' crew pile it onto the trailer to be hauled away. Hopefully, they will be back on Sunday to help us empty it. If not, we're in for a long day that day!

I haven't had much time to do anything else this week. I have been skipping water aerobics and not getting my housework and yard work done. But I'm hoping that after Memorial Day, things will slow down a little and I will be able to catch up. When he hasn't been working on the clean up, Dave has been busy in his shop. He put lights on the small utility trailer and has been adding shelving to the boat barn. He's hoping to be able to get everything that has been temporarily stored in his parking spot up on a shelf and out of his way. Now that the weather is getting better, he should finally get to park inside again and keep his car out of the sun.

We will be going into Portland today as Dave has an appointment with his oncologist. It is just a check-up to see how he is doing. Afterwards, we will be getting together with Jaysa to take her shopping for her birthday and then dinner at Red Robin. We are spending Friday night because we have a lot of errands to take care of before we had back home.

It's also a busy week for birthdays in our family. Thursday was Leslie's birthday, today is our granddaughter, Jaysa's birthday and Saturday is our son-in-law Jason's birthday. It is also Mother's Day on Sunday so we really get to celebrate all week long. I wish all of the mothers reading this a great day.
