IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Lots happening around here - besides watching it rain all the time.

We had a great time taking in our one and only Blazer game last week. Our granddaughter Jadyn's dance group performed during half-time and so we enjoyed watching her dance. There are so many girls out there dancing all at once that it is hard sometimes to find her amongst the crowd, but our daughter Lara took some great pics as she managed to be on the sidelines during the performance instead up in the arena. We saw many old friends too while we were at the game. It is always nice to see them.

We caught a movie on Sunday - "Going in Style", with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin, which was fun to see. It was about three old guys who were losing their retirement pension and decided to rob the bank that was responsible. We could relate to many of the scenes with the "senior citizen" jokes. We don't go to the movies very often as there is usually nothing that appeals to us.

Our granddaughter Paige celebrated her 15th birthday on Monday. Wow, where has the time gone? She immediately went out and got her driver's permit! If she drives the way she plays soccer, watch out everybody! Speaking of soccer, she is off to Vancouver, B.C. to play in a tournament this weekend. She finally got released to play again after she suffered a concussion a few weeks ago while playing in Las Vegas.

We ordered carpet for Leanna's place next door. The guy came on Tuesday to measure the rooms, so as soon as she moves at the end of April, I will get in there and paint the walls before the carpet is installed. Her family will help her move to a retirement place in Forest Grove next weekend.
Meanwhile, we are getting some of the repairs that need done on the outside of the house and then we will put the property up for sale.

I got a little work done out in the yard this week (between rain showers). The lawn guy came by and mowed our lawn too. I wish for just a good week of sunshine so I can get some weeds pulled. We haven't had a work party up at the park yet this year - and this is April! We have chosen Wednesday as our day to work in the park and so far, it has rained every Wednesday this year!

We had to make a quick trip into town on Thursday to pick up our taxes from the accountant. Not too bad - we pay a couple of bucks to the Feds and nothing to the state. While we were in town, we took our Jadyn out to Red Robin to celebrate her 14th birthday which was April 3rd. Everyone has been so busy and trying to fit in time on their calendars isn't easy. I also have to mention her sister Jaysa, who is on the track team at her middle school. She had to run in the pouring ran for that!

Dave has still been busy with projects around the place. We had a huge cabinet sitting on the floor of the boat barn - just taking up space. Dave got the tractor out and between the two of us, we lifted it up, drove it down the driveway and got it set in place in the church. With a bunch of pulleys and straps, he was able to get that heavy thing mounted on the wall. Hopefully, we can actually get some stuff stored in it now. He also built a couple of sections for a new workbench he's going to install in his shop. So right now, he is demolishing an old kitchen cabinet that had served as a workbench. With no place to put stuff, he has things piled up EVERYWHERE ! I hope he gets the new workbench built soon because things are a mess out there right now!

We are going into Lara's for Easter this year. I have been requested to bring my macaroni salad, which everyone seems to enjoy. I hope you have a great Easter with friends and family.
