IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

It's been another busy week driving to doctor's and OT appointments.

Pruitts

We have been driving back and forth to Tillamook again this week for Dave's Occupational Therapy and a doctor's appointment. His hand is improving but not as fast as Dave wants it to. The OT gave him a compression glove this week to try to bring down the swelling in his hand. He still hasn't been able to make a complete fist with this hand yet.

I had to go in for a bone scan on Thursday (in Tillamook). I have never had one before and the doctor thought it would be a good idea. I have been pretty lucky so far not breaking anything. Knock on wood!! The scan itself was a piece of cake - they zapped me with a machine and I was out of there in 15 minutes!

Finally, after harping on Dave for what seems forever, he finally called in a plumber. Our water pressure has been low and every time someone is using the faucet and someone else turns on another faucet, the pressure goes down. So the plumber installed a new pressure valve and it works great. We have all kinds of pressure now. Why did we wait so long?

We decided since we didn't get enough driving in this week that we would go up to Astoria and run a few errands on the way. We stopped at Staples to pick up some ink for the printer, checked out prices for drain pipe for our church project at Home Depot (we can get it cheaper locally) and of course we made the mandatory stop at Costco. Dave wanted to go to Astoria and ride the Astoria Riverfront Trolley as his old radio buddy Bob Miller is a volunteer driver and was working on Wednesday afternoon. We got into Astoria and found the trolley depot and parked our car. We ended up paying $10 to park our car! Geesh, we didn't want to buy the parking lot! The trolley ride was only a $1 and Bob paid for that! We should have gone to the end of the run and parked at Safeway for nothing. Anyway, the trolley ride was fun, we got to listen to Bob Miller's commentary on the sites of the history of Astoria (some true and some not so true) and it was an enjoyable trip. I would recommend it to everyone! We later stopped at Bigfoot in Seaside and had dinner.

My car was in an accident this week. While I was parked at the pool for my aerobics class, a friend of mine backed into the Jeep and bumped it pretty hard. She felt really bad about the situation and now I get to take it into the auto shop to get an estimate and fixed (hopefully next week). It is more of an inconvenience than anything else but I still feel bad (for both of us) that it happened. Oh well, that's why we're paying for insurance!

We had a bit of rain at the beginning of the week but now it is sunny again. It only made the weeds and grass grow. I am getting lots of cherry tomatoes and green beans from my garden so we are enjoying the fresh picked taste of home grown.
