IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Burrrrr! The weather has really turned chilly these past couple of days. The first of the week it was raining and since I hadn't been outside to clean up the yard from the last storm, I busily raked up leaves and tidied up some flowerpots between showers. I got soaked a couple of times because I didn't have enough sense to come out of the rain!!

By Tuesday (after my yard work was done) wouldn't you know it, the sun came out and the east winds started to blow, which means that the temps really dropped and that meant that it was a little frosty out. When I left that morning for my water aerobics class I slipped and slid around on the bridge near our place. There was already a fender-bender along side the road too. I wasn't involved with that but still decided to be a little more cautious. I also noticed that Onion Peak has a slight covering of snow on it that made it look so beautiful in the morning sun. I think winter is just around the corner.

We headed for Portland on Wednesday as we have a couple of Blazer games - one that night and then again tonight with Thanksgiving with the family in between. Everyone congregated at Lara and Greg's for the big meal. Jason made his delicious mushroom dressing and Leslie made pumpkin and chocolate pies. After gorging ourselves, we played Mexican Train, which is a domino game. It is always fun to get together with the family. Leslie is all set to get up at midnight to take in the early bird sales that will start the Christmas shopping. Not me!!

Sorry about the short entry, there was not a lot to write about this week. Things were pretty dull. Even the laptop computer refused to cooperate, so the family picture of us around the Thanksgiving table didn't make it to this page. We will be heading back to the coast on Saturday as we are invited to another Thanksgiving dinner at the Kahrs'. I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and like me, is thankful for so many things.
