IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Sunny Sunny Just a warning, it's all about grandchildren. I have spent most of my time this week just babysitting with Lara's two little ones, Jadyn and Jaysa.

Jaysa is 3-1/2 months and has a smile that will melt your heart. When she smiles she has this tiny dimple by her right cheek and those big brown eyes. She is sooo good that you hardly know she is around. What more can I say about such a precious little angel.

Jake Jadyn is Jaysa's older sister and she is 2-1/2 years old. She has finally gotten some nice long curly hair. A year ago this time the child was still bald! She is a pretty good girl too but she has her moments. She loves to sing and dance along with the "Wiggles" on TV and loves "Wags" the dog. She is also an outdoor girl and wants to be outside all of the time. We go for walks to the park everyday so she can get her fill of the sunshine and fresh air. The other day while she was on a walk with her mommy she spotted a squirrel that had been run over by a car and explained, "Mommy, that squirrel got bonked!" You just never know what she is going to say!

My younger daughter, Leslie also has two girls, Ashtin and Paige. We got to see them last Sunday when we went to Salem for dinner.

AJ Ashtin will be turning six years old on August 29th and will be starting the first grade this fall. She can hardly wait as she loves school. She is also going to play soccer on a real team that call themselves the "Lions". I say "real team" because she was on a practice team last year and didn't enjoy that as much. Ashtin's mommy played soccer when she was a kid and Leslie is hoping that she enjoys the sport as much as she did.

Mickey Paige is our wild child. A fun-loving 3-1/2 year old that is fearless. You just never know what she will do next! She painted their pet dog, Harlie Sue with permanent markers a while back. Paige also learned to surf this summer with her Uncle from Texas. She loved it! Between trips to the beach, she practices in the back yard.

I am so lucky to have such adorable grandchildren that I can spend some time with and to know that I love them each in their own special way.

After my babysitting gig this week, we will plan to go to Ashtin's birthday party on Saturday and then I am going to sneak back down to the coast for one day to see how things look. I will be back babysitting most of next week so I will be returning to West Linn on Sunday evening.
