IT'S FRIDAY, MY FAVORITE DAY!!

Or I should rephrase that: THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!

Leslie and Jason bought a new truck and fifth wheel trailer and went camping up the Columbia River Gorge at Cascade Locks last weekend and so we decided to drive up there Saturday afternoon with a couple of pizzas to check it out! What a nice rig they have, it sleeps up to ten people and that is what I call "roughing it."

Sunday night we had an early Blazer game, which was good since I had to get up and head off to work the next day. Dave drove me to the office the first day, as he had to go into Hillsboro to have another MRI on his brain. It is just a follow up from last fall's stroke episode and doctor just wants to make sure everything is okay. He has a doctor's appointment next Wednesday to get the report.

We are still in West Linn as I worked all week for my old employer. I will have to admit that I asked myself several times this week, "WHAT WAS I THINKING???" when I said I would do this - especially during the times I was stuck in traffic! It's still a miserable 45-minute commute in heavy traffic. But getting home to my granddaughter, Jadyn is worth it. She comes running up to greet me, so happy to see me! She can be such a sweetie some times and a not a whole lot of fun at other times. It must be those "terrible twos" that she is going through, even though she won't be two until next month.

I took this temp job working in the Real Estate Dept. and the project has become a major headache. One of the things I have to do is peruse lease agreements, looking for information to input into a program on the web. I don't mind that so much, but all of the contracts are for the company's foreign leases and most of the time they are in a different language. Good Grief! I come home at night brain dead. I spent most of the week just getting the contracts organized by country and then filling out a data form to send to the people at these various sites. I figured they can fill in the blanks better than me and then they can just return the form filled out and I can then input the info. Let's hope it is as simple as that! Another thing I did was scan the leases into my computer files. That's a boring job!! I did enjoy seeing all my friends at the workplace however. I will only be working three days next week because, beginning Thursday, I am obligated to take care of a couple of grandchildren while their parents go to Las Vegas for the NASCAR races. That ought to be more fun anyway! If I'm still not done with the project, I'll return to work on the 21st and stay until it's finished.

Dave left for the coast on Wednesday to get our mail and get caught up on a few things. I had to stay here and work. He is coming back today because he has a Blazer game tonight and then tomorrow (Saturday), we are heading back down to the coast. I can't wait to get home again because the weather has been great down there. I am sure all of the trees have exploded with flowers and the daffodils are all in bloom. I know that the birds have missed me because I am sure all of the feeders will have to be filled when I get home.

Just a short entry this time. This working gal is tired; she has had a hard week. I'm watching "Survivor" and then headed for bed!
